The Tannan Bay scenic spot in Pingtan, Fujian province has completed its first stage construction recently, according to ptnet.cn on April 6.
The first stage project includes a plaza, two parking lots, a shower center and public toilets. It is slated to go operational on May 1, said Weng Lan, director of the scenic spot's administrative office.
The plaza covers an area of 6,000 square meters, and is equipped with two cabins and benches. It is designed as a place for visitors to take a walk or have a rest.
The parking lots can hold a total of 277 vehicles. To give visitors more convenience, they also use an electronic parking system, which can automatically scan a car's license plate and charge upon its parking period.
The shower center and public toilets are included in the same building, which is in a unique shape and decorated with antique-style bricks. The center can hold a maximum of 20 visitors and will charge upon their water consumption.
Weng added that the first stage project is expected to meet visitors' basic needs and help improve the scenic spot's image.
