On Jan 7, a delegation from the Xiamen C&D Corporation led by its chairperson Wu Xiaomin visited Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ), Fujian province to seek cooperation with the zone.

Zhang Zhaomin, leader of PCPZ's Party working committee welcomed the delegation and briefed them about the zone's opening up and development. Zhang particularly mentioned the Tannan Bay, a local tourism resort surrounded by mountains, sea and with a beautiful beach.

Zhang said that Pingtan wants to reach its goals of becoming a "Common Homeland" for people on both sides of the Taiwan Straits and an international tourist destination. He expected C&D to take advantage of its strengths to help Pingtan realize the goals.

The leader also promised that to ensure the successful implementation of its investment programs, local government will give the company the most preferential policies and convenient services. Zhang also added he is confident that the cooperation will be win-win for both sides.

The delegated also had a tour to Tannan Bay, Haitan Ancient City, Zhuyu Lake among other tourist sites.

Wu said that she gained a better understanding of Pingtan through this visit. The chairperson saw great potential in the zone's further development. Wu added that she expected further discussion on specifics of the cooperation.
