Due to the increasing number of Taiwan entrepreneurs investing in Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, Fujian province, local authorities recently opened a service window for Taiwan investors. The idea was to offer them better and more convenient services, according to ptnet.cn, on Nov 21.

The authorities said that the window mainly provided Taiwan entrepreneurs with counseling services on regulations, policies and industrial development of medicine, health food, cosmetics and medical equipment.

They further explained that they wanted to help the entrepreneurs gain a better understanding of related laws, supervision mechanism and approval procedures and make it easier for them to develop businesses in Pingtan.

They also said that so far, many Taiwan-funded companies which deal in medicine, health food, cosmetics and medical equipment have established their branches in Pingtan and enjoyed the benefits of this new service window.
