A chrysanthemum show kicked off at the Cuiyuan Park in Pingtan, Fujian province, on Nov 4, as part of the fifth Fujian chrysanthemum exhibition. It will run until Nov 30.

The month-long event, with a theme of "Ecological Pingtan, Harmonious Home", has on display a feast for local residents of 60,000 pots of chrysanthemums in 600 varieties.

The chrysanthemums are arranged in different shapes or images, including animals, human figures, trees and pillars. Some chrysanthemum pillars even have auspicious words on them, which attract a large number of visitors. Many visitors said they were impressed by the arrangements.

In addition to the exhibition, the event also includes a flower arrangement contest, which will give local flower lovers an opportunity to exchange arrangement techniques.
