A delegation of the Pingtan Economic Development Bureau, Fujian Province, will visit Taiwan to take part in the 10th Taipei Cross-Straits Travel Fair, Nov 4-10, with the purpose of introducing Pingtan's tourist resources to Taiwan people and attracting more visitors.

An official said that they will send brochures to people who are interested in cross-Straits travel and tell them about Pingtan at the fair. They will also give special gifts to visitors, such as tickets and models of Haixia, a high-speed passenger ferry linking Pingtan and the city of Taichung in Taiwan.

In addition to the government delegation, many travel agencies in Pingtan will participate in the event in a bid to develop the cross-Straits travel market in concert with Taiwan's travel agencies.
