A forum in Pingtan on July 8 set a series of goals to promote innovation and industrial upgrading, local news portal ptnet.cn reported.

Innovation in all areas, including technology, market operation and enterprise management, are backbones of a modern economy and a necessity in China’s sustainable development, said an official in the 2015 Pingtan Declaration published at the 2015 Pingtan Innovative Forum for Entrepreneurs and Scientists.

The forum will become an annual tradition held on July 8 in Pingtan, and will hold branch forums across the country from time to time, according to the statement.

It will serve as a platform for communication and cooperation between entrepreneurs, scientists and financiers to boost the application of latest scientific inventions on industrial productions under the direction of financial experts.

Meanwhile, the forum, along with its branch forums, will exhibit technological achievements, push for trans-regional e-commerce and cooperation on intelligent manufacturing and other industries.
