The Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone in Fujian province has drawn up a list of 227 key projects for development, Pingtan Times reported, on Jan 29, noting that the total cost is around 227 billion yuan ($36 billion), 37 billion yuan of which applies to 2015.

The projects cover everything from agriculture to environmental protection to transportation and industrial development.

More specifically, Pingtan will put 5 billion yuan into 11 agriculture, forestry and water conservation projects; 40 billion yuan into 23 transportations projects, 56 billion into 116 environmental and urban-rural construction projects, 119 billion into 52 industrial projects and 8 billion into 25 social undertakings.
