More than 300 traffic policemen, driver representatives, and volunteers participated in the campaign which focused on “Seven Don’ts” that include speeding, overloading, drug driving, drink driving, red-light running, transgressing and being disrespectful of pedestrians on zebra crossings.
Besides putting up ad boards, and distributing brochures, the advocators also provided a consultancy service on traffic rules and invited people to sign their names on banners which condemned illicit road behavior.
After watching horrendous scenes of traffic accidents, Mr. Wu, a local resident, said he was educated to be responsible for his and other people’s lives when driving.
