A senior government official of the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ) inspected a construction site of a four-star hotel on March 15.

Relative departments should dedicate more manpower to speed up the construction of Jinlanshangu International Hotel, which is situated by a reservoir in Zhonglou township, according to Li Dejin, director of the PCPZ’s administrative committee.

The luxury hotel occupies an area of nearly 69 mu (4.6 hectares). It is financed with an investment of around 300 million yuan ($48.2 million) by local private entrepreneur Chen Guobao.

The hotel project is in line with Pingtan’s industrial development plan and ecological construction. Relative departments should keep an eye on its progress and help to resolve problems incurred during construction, said Li.

Li also called for more local private entrepreneurs to return to Pingtan and invest in the overall construction of the county.
