A team from the Taiwan-based China Cross-Straits Ties Cartel Association, an organization seeking to boost cross-Straits exchange in various sectors, visited the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone on Feb 27 to inspect its development.

The visiting Taiwan businesspeople toured the Pingtan Petty Trade Market Opening to Taiwan, which is slated to fully go into operation midway through 2014.

The guests were surprised at Pingtan's progress in recent years and have been paying attention to Pingtan's preferential policies for Taiwan compatriots.

After the inspection, the businessmen signed agreements to settle into the market.

They also pledged to promote Pingtan after they return to Taiwan.
