Local border forces in the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, Fujian province, staged an anti-terror simulation on March 2 in a bid to enhance emergency capabilities among troops.

In the anti-riot drill, seven knife-wielding "gangsters" appeared at a farm market in Liushui town.

Equipped border soldiers arrived at the site three minutes after being informed and apprehended all the simulation rioters.

The drill met expectations and will absolutely strengthen security awareness and emergency response ability, said Lin Haojie, captain of a border force team.
