The Fujian Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has implemented a series of preferential polices in Pingtan county for food products imported from Taiwan or exported from Pingtan to Taiwan.
Transit imported food from Taiwan will be filed, and will also be exempt from quarantine at the first customs barrier in Pingtan.
The filing process for exports of Pingtan food enterprises which have passed HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) verification, will be simplified.
Tags with traditional Chinese characters are allowed on packages of Taiwan-imported food products sold in Pingtan.
In addition, the sampling observation proportion for low-risk food imported from Taiwan will be reduced, for faster customs clearance.
