Top officials from the State Administration for Industry & Commerce of the People's Republic of China (SAIC) and the Administration for Industry & Commerce of Fujian (AICF) visited Pingtan, Fujian province, on Monday and praised its development.
Liu Yuting, deputy director of the SAIC, with Ye Mukai, director of the AICF, conducted a survey on Pingtan's reform of its business registration system and implementation of a series of preferential polices from the central and provincial governments.
In 2012, the SAIC issued a directive to support the opening-up and development of the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, the Chinese mainland's first pilot zone opening up to Taiwan. The move was followed by the AICF's supporting measures to create a fast, efficient service channel for business in the zone.
The industry and commerce department in Pingtan has been carrying out the preferential polices well. The business procedures and approval processes have been streamlined and the investment environment has been enhanced with novel mechanisms that provide convenient business registration for Taiwan enterprises.
Liu praised Pingtan's efforts on reform and innovation of the registration system and hailed the improved condition of software and hardware in the pilot zone.
