Representatives from Country Garden, a well-known real estate enterprise in China, visited the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone on March 7 to investigate local conditions for commercial opportunities, Pingtan Times reported.

The company, established in 1992 and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2007, is one of China's leading integrated property developers. Its businesses cover construction, installation, property development and management, hotel development and management, and education. It ranks among the top 10 real estate companies in China.

Pilot zone officials, including chief administrator Gong Qinggai, received the guests. Gong said the company could make use of Pingtan's preferential policies for the benefit of both Pingtan people and the company.

He welcomed Country Garden to launch projects in Pingtan and said the pilot zone will provide possible support for potential cooperation.

Ouyang Baokun, director general at the company's investment and development center, introduced the company to local officials. He said the company hopes to bring its 20 years of experience and advantages in the real estate market to Pingtan. The company is expecting to become a participant in Pingtan's development and opening-up to Taiwan.
