The Cross-Straits Young Entrepreneurs Association of Pingtan (CYEAP) and the Pingtan Taiwan Business Association (PTBA) recently held a party for Pingtan's financial institute leaders and young entrepreneurs from both Pingtan and Taiwan.

More than 20 entrepreneurs from Taiwan and about 30 young, local entrepreneurs and heads of banks participated in the party. They visited a Taiwan-funded farm, watched a promotional film about Pingtan, listened to reports from the CYEAP and PTBA, and shared their business experience at the cross-Straits entrepreneurs' seminar.

Li Yunhui, director of PTBA's preparatory group, noted that Pingtan's preferential policies will be more attractive for enterprises from Taiwan as Pingtan continues to open up. The PTBA will serve its member companies and push forward economic communication and cooperation between Taiwan and Pingtan.

Yan Shijie, chairman assistant of Taiwan-based Sinotech Engineering Consultants Ltd, appreciated the party and commented that the event served as a platform for communication between Taiwan and Pingtan entrepreneurs. He believed the activity will help Taiwan merchants find opportunities in Pingtan.

Liu Menghong, sub-branch manager of the Pingtan Shanghai Pudong Development (SPD) Bank, said that SPD will deliver various financial services to support the development of minor enterprises, especially companies with Taiwan capital.
