As many as 28 volunteer teachers will be selected to teach in Pingtan, an island county in Fujian province, before the fall term, according to the Fujian Provincial Educational Bureau on July 27.

These teachers will be chosen by the Fujian Provincial Government Management Administration and educational bureaus of Fuzhou, Xiamen and Putian. Fifteen teachers will come from Fuzhou, four from Xiamen, and eight from Putian. They will teach from August 2012 to July 2013.

The selected teachers must be healthy, under 50 ages and have excellent teaching skills.

This will be the second group of volunteer teachers to work in Pingtan. The first group has finished their teaching terms this past June.
