"We welcome more folks from Taiwan to participate in all press conferences held in Fujian province to express their views freely." Zhu Qing said sincerely to the media this afternoon.

The Forestry Expo, Tea Expo, Agricultural Expo and so on and so forth are all clear examples of the government’s willingness to enhance communications and cooperation across the Straits and build an open platform for the Taiwan people. Zhu told reporters that representatives from Taiwan’s commercial and business fields were quite eager to participate in those activities related to them and the Fujian government was quite willing to offer an open platform to folks in Taiwan in order to boost the economy across the Straits.

"I have received lots of petitions from friends working in Taiwan’s media," Zhu said. "On behalf of the Fujian government, I’d like to invite all of you there to set up your stations in Fujian and impose your own views on Fujian."
