The closing ceremony of the 5th Special Olympic Games of the People’s Republic of China was held at the provincial sports center of Fujian province in Fuzhou last night.

In attendance was Sun Chuanlan, the general director and secretary of Fujian province; Zhang Haidi, the president of the China’s handicapped federation, and Wang Naikun, the president of the China Paralympics. Hong Jiexu hosted the closing ceremony.

The organizing committee of the 5th National Special Olympics awards to delegations, individual athletes and coaches to celebrate their passion and persistence and gave special thanks to the Fujian government for their support.

The closing ceremony presented the audience final performances that celebrated Fuzhou, the city of banyan. What’s more, themed on love, this show not only presented athletes’ passion for sports and their encouragement to participate in but the spirit of sports and the glory of being a part of the event.
