To create a low-carbon living circumstance and shorten the traveling hour to 15 minutes within the community is one of the future plans of Gulou government in Fuzhou who has decided to apply the people-oriented mentality into practice.

A community of convenient services on medical care, shopping, schooling, entertainment and all fundamental services is the mode that Gulou government is committing to pursue for the public. At present, 10 community-hospitals have been put into use. “It is quite convenient to come to such a place to seek the doctor’s advice.” a retired 70-year-old worker said

Right now, people living in Gulou district could enjoy a free-bicycle service. Hundreds of bicycles are introduced to Gulou and they are adding to provide free services to the public living there, which is sure to reduce the traffic pressure and enhance the spirit of Low-carbon life in Gulou district.

All above are just two examples that show the determination of Gulou government to build a low-carbon community for the general pubilc
