New skyscraper, unique landmark of Banyan City

The symbol of highly developed economy, the representation of high-tech machinery, skyscrapers in a city or in the downtown have already seized the place where local business activities are concentrated. Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian province in China, is set to welcome its new landmark—the world trade international center, a 58-storey building of 273 meters high.

Fuzhou entered the era of the skyscraper in the beginning of the 1990s. Between 1995 and 2003, the buildings in Fuzhou began to rise. The building of Yifa and global square are both representations of that period. At present, Fuzhou has accepted the skyscrapers as a symbol of fashion and the City of Banyan.

But many things have to be considered to select something as the landmark of this city, especially for the building. Not only its height, but its culture and meaning have to be thought over. All the enterprises and companies which select the building as their own workplace are the key spirits of this architecture of high-tech wizardry. The international consulting group, the financial enterprises and some branches of world-top-500 are located here.

New challenges are facing the developers. For example, how to run and maintain such a tall building and its facilities there is a big question to be handled with. Anyway, in the near future, the city of Banyan is going to be a city state full of skyscrapers.
