National cultural and creative industry to be fostered in Fuzhou

To set up a national cultural and creative industry is one of the goals for Fuzhou in the long run to build a city state characterized by a modern communication industry, a cartoon and game developing center, innovation industry and cultural and creative industry as a whole.

National cultural and creative industry to be fostered in Fuzhou

In order to pursue the goal, Fuzhou government is committed to urge all sections concerned to guide and support the program which aims to build a national cultural and creative center in Fuzhou.

Several programs are involved in the plan: To build an international creative center and foster the cartoon industry chain are the final goals of the Cartoon center program. RMB 1 billion has been appropriated into this program to ensure its success.

Located in Lianjing county, Hua’ao cultural and creative industry center is due to be finished in 2013. To carry on research on intangible cultural heritage, to develop entertainment and communication industry are the basic intention of this program.

Fuzhou cartoon and game foundation makes its own contribution to the development of innovative and cultural industry in this city. 27 enterprises and 3000 staffs have chosen to locate there adding an unexpected intellectual force to this place.

Cross-Strait sculpture exchange center, Shaoyuan No.1 cultural and creative park, 318 cultural and innovative street and Xinhua cultural innovation center are the other programs involved in the plan. In the future, Fuzhou will project itself a new image, a city state specializing in cultural and innovative industry.
