One-hundred-day's effort creates one new Fuzhou

"100 days, 120 kilometers, RMB 10 billion plus numberless efforts equal one new Fuzhou” released by Fuzhou traffic and transport committee in a press conference yesterday.

Several projects, committing to enhance the road’s efficiency, capacity and safety are on the agenda, including the expressway of Fuzhou Changle International Airport, circular expressway in Fuzhou and some parts related.

The expressway linking Fuzhou Changle International Airport and the downtown will be expanded as another 0.2 billion Yuan has been appropriated to this project. After being finished, it only takes 45 minutes to get to the airport from the downtown area.

Fuzhou Circular expressway whose length is about 60 kilometers is going to be built at the end of this year. Its completion will integrate the seaport and airport together, upgrading the capacity of the traffic net in Fuzhou.

Besides, 500 clean-energy buses and 800 new cabs will be assigned to improve the conditions in terms of traffic in Fuzhou.

All above guarantee a more convenient and comfortable city for people’s living.

Fuzhou Changle International Airport: It is an airport in Fuzhou, Fujian, China. The airport was inaugurated on June 23, 1997, after being approved to start constructing in 1992. It is one of the airports having flights across the Taiwan Straits. In 2009, Fuzhou airport handled 5.45 million passengers. It was 25th busiest airport in China. In addition, the airport is the 22nd busiest airport in terms of cargo traffic and the 25th busiest airport by traffic movements.
