The 11th Cross-Straits Fair for Economy and Trade will be held in the Jinshan Exhibition Center in Fuzhou from May 18th to May 22nd.

According to Chen Weimen, Deputy Mayor of Fujian, the five-day fair will feature an exhibition of famous local products from Taiwan. These specialties will be on display in an aim to promote sales of Taiwan products.

With a planned space of 31,000 sq meters, the fair will provide 2,000 standard booths divided into six halls, including the Taiwan, Singapore, Brand and Craftwork Hall. Set in the centre hall, the Taiwan products exhibition will showcase well-known and distinguished Taiwan products, plus comic and animation products from both straits. Promotion of the fair went very well, and as a result, 23 counties from Taiwan have sent companies to attend the exhibition with high spirits. By March 24th, 245 booths for Taiwan provided by the Organizing Committee of Cross-Straits Fair for Economy and Trade had been booked up.

As of March 31st, the fair has attracted 57 projects and 587 million dollars in investment, including 25 contract projects evaluated at 260 million dollars. Several other projects are still in progress.

The fair has become one of the largest cross-straits fairs ever held, with over 11 years of development and contributions to the cooperation, economic promotion, and cultural communication of both straits.

Also being held in the Jinshan Exhibition Center is the 6th Commodities Fair Fujian China. It will run at the same time as the Cross-Straits fair with a planned coverage of 20,000 sq meters and 1,000 booths. An exhibition hall covering 5,000 sq meters will be allocated to Singapore, with 100 Singaporean companies attending.
