Xiamen in Fujian province has started the construction of the Maluan Bay Hospital in the city's Haicang district, which after it is completed is expected to yield another biomedicine industrial incubator in the area.

With its construction planned to be completed in July 2021, the Maluan Bay Hospital is set to be equipped with 1,500 beds and an underground parking lot with 3,248 parking spots, of which 1,448 will be open to the public.

The hospital will be served by Lindai Station of Metro Line 6 after its construction. The entrances and exits of the subway and bus stations will be also placed in the underground space of the hospital, which will provide visitors with convenience.

As a branch of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University in Haicang district, the hospital will focus on the development of its oncology department, as well as promote cooperation with nearby industrial parks, universities and research centers.

Additionally, the hospital will also collaborate with Haicang's biomedicine industrial park to build medicine and medical equipment research and development centers, as well as first-rate laboratories.

It is hoped that through this collaboration that the biomedicine industrial incubator will be constructed.
