Fujian's per capita disposable income surpassed 17,000 yuan in the first half of 2018, ranking it seventh nationwide, local media reported recently, citing figures from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
Shanghai topped the list with 32,612 yuan ($4,777), followed by Beijing, East China's Zhejiang province, Tianjin and East China's Jiangsu province.
In the same period, China's average per capita disposable income grew 6.6 percent year-on-year in real terms to 14,063 yuan, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
The growth was calculated after taking into consideration the effects of inflation and the nominal growth in resident income of 8.7 percent in the first six months, NBS data showed.
