Twenty Fujian brands are set to appear at the first China Indigenous Brand Exposition to be held in Shanghai on May 10-12, local media reported Monday.
The brands, spanning multiple sectors, include Contemporary Amperex Technology, world-leading EV battery provider, Fuyao Group, the world's largest auto-glass manufacturer, and Hengan Group, China's largest tissue paper manufacturer.
Another three innovative companies with great development potential will also participate, including Sanfu and Zhiheng Technology.
In addition, Fujian tea will be on display as a local specialty brand.
The China Indigenous Brand Exposition, co-hosted by seven ministries and commissions as well as Shanghai government, is aimed at promoting the status and influence of China's indigenous brands by displaying their achievements.
The exposition is accompanied by the International Forum on China's Indigenous Brand Development to be held on May 10. Keynote speeches and themed dialogues will be organized to discuss topics on brand building and development.
Fujian provincial leaders will join the dialogues with counterparts of six other provinces and cities strong in indigenous brand development, and share its experience in brand building.
