Apolong, China's first driverless electric microbus, went on a trial run amid the Digital China Exhibition in Fuzhou, capital city of East China's Fujian province on Sunday, an appetizer for the first Digital China Conference that kicked off on the day.

The move came after a road test on the bus conducted in Pingtan, an island city located off coast of Fujian on March 30.

The bus, jointly developed by tech giant Baidu Inc and Xiamen King Long United Automobile Industry Co, 4.3 meters long and 2 meters wide, has the capacity for eight seats and six standees and can run more than 100 kilometers on a single charge.
