The preparatory work for the first Digital China Summit, scheduled to be held on April 22 to 24, is currently in full swing in Fuzhou, capital city of southeastern Fujian province, local media reported.

The summit is part of the country's larger efforts to further integrate the digital economy with the real economy.

In a bid to ensure the success of the conference, a rehearsal for the conference was held in Fuzhou on April 1. It simulated different scenarios of the conference, including hotel-checking, press conference, and dining as well as volunteer work.

According to the organizing committee, a raft of cutting-edge techs like facial recognition is set to be applied in the conference. For instance, guests are able to easily access main conference rooms and hotels after scanning their faces.

Meanwhile, a total of 1,070 volunteers have been selected from more than 6,000 college student entrants. They, after receiving professional trainings, shall offer the multiple services for the summit attendees, including reception, translation and security assistance.
