Aotou and Kexiang cultural industry parks were inaugurated in Xiang'an district of Xiamen, Fujian province on Dec 17 to satisfy local residents' cultural demands.
Covering an area of 100 hectares, the design and decorations of the Aotou cultural industry park integrate Chinese and Western culture.
At present, numerous cultural innovation companies are located in the park, including a Nordic Contemporary Art Center. An artist from Croatia in Northern Europe even plans to open a studio at the park.
The park will also house an international cultural exchange base of the China Academy of Art and an art hotel. The key point of the park is to improve people's quality of life.
With an area of 1.7 hectares, the Kexiang cultural industry park is home to multiple maker spaces, an exhibition hall and other areas and many enterprises engaged in developing video games, designing animations, and producing new media have landed in the park.
The Xiang'an district has always focused on the development of the cultural industry. By promoting the integration of local culture with tourism and cultivating cultural innovation enterprises with local features, that industry has seen prosperous development in the district in recent years.
