Typhoon Swan is approaching eastern coast of Taiwan and is likely to affect southeastern China, especially, Fujian around Aug 21.
Typhoon Swan had already strengthened into strong tropical storm on Sunday morning, reported typhoon.gov.cn. It is moving northwest at a speed of 10-15 km/h and gaining momentum. Swan is expected to strengthen into a strong or even ultra strong typhoon.
So far, there are sixteen typhoons in the western Pacific this year, including six ultra strong typhoons and one strong typhoon. Swan and Atsani are possibly the eighth and ninth one.
Swan and Atsani occurred at nearly the same time, so their power and influence may be doubled.
