A delegation from Taiwan's New Party, led by chairman Yok Mu-ming, visited the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ) in Fujian province on May 28.

It is Yok's third trip to Pingtan this year. He has been actively pushing for cross-Straits communication between young people and encouraging more young entrepreneurs from Taiwan to open businesses in Pingtan.

“As an old friend of Pingtan, cross-Straits communications remain on the top of my agenda,” he said.

“To make young Taiwanese people work more smoothly in Pingtan, we have to coordinate all elements including personnel, technology, finance and environment. This is what I am here for – to bridge different bodies and agencies across the Straits and push some projects.”

Pingtan will actively cooperate with Taiwan to hold more activities in order to increase communications between young people, said Li Dejin, director of the PCPZ’s administration zone.
