Taiwan's fruit exports to Xiamen total 60,000 tons over past 10 years

Up until now, Xiamen ports imported 21,100 tons of Taiwan fruits in 2015, surpassing the entire imported Taiwan fruits volume of 19,800 tons in 2014. In March, the imported fruits from Taiwan reached 4,164 tons in Xiamen, up 106.77% compared with the same period of the previous year, accounting for 52.09% of the entire volume of the first quarter. Among which, the volume of imported fruits on April 28 reached 1,275.7 tons, the largest one-day trade volume in history.

With the setup of the Xiamen Free Trade Zone, the imported volume of Taiwan's fruits has increased rapidly in Xiamen. To cope with it, the Xiamen Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has opened a "green channel" for imported fruits from Taiwan and a 7-day*24-hour shift to make sure the fruits will arrive in Xiamen while they are still fresh.
