Xiamen, after Fuzhou, became the second city in Fujian province to win the title of “Chinese Hot Spring City” approved by China's Mining Association.

Xiamen has 14 places possessing geothermal hot springs, which can provide a daily workable reserve of more than 30,000 cubic meters. The temperature of geothermal water is over 40 degrees Celsius and can even reach 90 degrees.

Geothermal water in Xiamen has many minerals, which can be helpful for some medical care and physiotherapy.

Xiamen has developed some hot spring programs and plans to take advantage of its geographical conditions to bring in more economic benefits.
