Two people were dead, and another three hurt following an explosion at a ceramic plant in Hua’an county, Zhangzhou city in East China’s Fujian province on late Oct 29.
The blast happened at the factory in the Dazhou Industrial Park in Shajian town at around 11:17 pm, according to a statement issued by the local government on Oct 30.
One employee was killed, and four injured on site. One of the injured died on the morning of Oct 30.
The accident was caused by an explosion of a gas producer because of improper operations by workers, said an official with the local safety production supervision bureau.
