Three people died after a trailer crashed into a truck in central Fujian province on the morning of Oct 26.

The trailer, loaded with dozens of tons of coal, was moving on the Hulin section of the Zhangzhou-Yong’an Highway in Hua’an county at around 7:50 am, when it collided with a Zhangping-registered truck head on. The trailer then plunged into the Jiulongjiang River after losing its balance.
Two men in the driver’s cab of the trailer, and the truck driver were killed, police said.
The accident also resulted in traffic congestion lasting nearly seven hours.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
