Bridges are not just for crossing rivers in Pingnan, they are icons of the little-known county in northeast Fujian province.
Wan'an Bridge, a timber arch lounge bridge, is seen in Changqiao Village of Pingnan County, southeast China's Fujian Province. Built in the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127) and rebuilt several times since then, the bridge is 98.2 meters long and 4.7 meters wide. It has been listed as one of the state key cultural relics protection units.
