The 3D hall is one of the eye-catching features of the expo’s official website, which was set up to keep exhibitors’ products stay online beyond the four-day event, which runs from April 18 to 21.
The organizing committee hopes to bring in more enterprises to the program and apply 3D technology to a more comprehensive display of their products.
“The project will help to show a shoe product in 360 degrees and create an authentic visual effect for merchants,” said Chen Jian’en, general manager of a local shoe e-commerce company.
He added that e-commerce has helped boost sale at big companies last year. And his company’s focus will shift to medium and small enterprises this year.
Last year marked a milestone for Jinjiang’s private companies, as many of them expanded their business on e-commerce platforms. More than 70 percent built online outlets. Currently there are more than 7,000 online stores with trade volume reaching 38 billion yuan ($6.1 billion) in Jinjiang 2013, the most in Fujian province.
