Fujian's tourism industry grew rapidly in the first half of 2012, as the province received 744.6 million tourists, with the number of overseas visitors reaching 2.1 million - an increase of 16 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. Revenues reached 82 billion yuan ($13.4 billion), or 15.2 percent higher than the same period of the previous year.
