Hong Jieyu, deputy governor of Fujian province, was born in January 1960 in Nan’an county, Fujian, and graduated from Tongji University with a bachelor's degree in architecture. He was previously deputy director of the Fujian construction department and member of the Jiu San Society, and he was appointed deputy governor of Fujian in January 2008.

Current duties:

Hong works together with the provincial construction department, and also the departments of foreign affairs, tourism, Hong Kong and Macao affairs and ethnic and religious affairs.
