Gaobei Tulou Cluster

Gaobei Tulou Cluster stands in Gaobei village, Yongding county, Fujian province. The cluster lies among mountains and rivers with dozens of tulou, or earth buildings, in a unique design. Among them, Wuyun Building, built in the Ming Dynasty (1369-1644), embodies the time-honored history of tulou. The elegant Qiaofu Building shows the patriotism of overseas Chinese. The most famous structure is the Chengqi Building, nicknamed the "King of Tulou."

Gaobei Tulou Cluster, as a part Fujian Tulou, was inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list in the 32nd World Heritage Conference held in Quebec, Canada, in July 2008.

Admission: 50 yuan ($8.11), 40 yuan on Tongcheng.com.
