In the golden autumn season, Sanfangqixiang (the three alleys and seven streets) Management Committee strives to introduce new business, complete projects and open up new venues to create a jubilant atmosphere to greet National Day.

21 Sanfangqixiang projects complete

21 projects will be completed before National Day with a total area of 18,101.89 square meters, including new land parcel construction and rehabilitation of some lanes and venues.

By National Day, the management works on Huang and Ta Lanes and the lighting sets at Antai River Park will also be completed.

Four new venues begins operation

On Oct. 1 Sanfangqixiang official opened the Shoushan Stone Museum, Fujian Contemporary Art Museum, Fujian Lacquerware and Lacquer Art Exhibition Hall, and Folk Collection Exhibition Hall of the Xie Clan Temple. The four new venues are now open to the public.

Shoushan Stone Carving Art Museum is located at No. 79 of South Houjie Road. It showcases fine artworks from Fuzhou’s masters in Chinese arts and crafts over half a century, displaying the charm of Shoushan stone carving art, one of the name cards of Fuzhou, as well as the exquisite artistry of the sculptors.

Fujian Contemporary Art Museum is located the Wangqi Former Residence in Ta Lane. The museum exhibits a hundred-plus fine craftworks from Fujian including minor stone-carving of Shoushan, lacquer ware, wood carvings, bamboo carving, porcelain, mahogany furniture and other treasures.

Fujian Lacquerware and Lacquer Art Exhibition Hall lies in Lin Congyi Former Residence in Gong Lane. It displays a collection of over a thousand pieces of lacquer wares since Qing Dynasty and contemporary fine paintings by lacquer masters of different generations.

Folk Collection Exhibition Hall of the Xie Clan Temple, one important revolution-commemorating site in Sanfangqixiang, is situated in the Xie Clan Temple in Jibi Road, with a private collection of paintings, porcelain, antiques and Shoushan stone on display.
