Floats Parade

During the National Day holidays, the decorated floats parades will be extended. This is expected to draw more people to the event. The performances of the six floats will last 90 minutes, from 10:30~12:00 and from 19:15~20:45.

There are four float parade sessions: 9:30, 16:00, 16:30 and 18:00.

Thousand people participated in walking activity

On National Day, the executive committee of the Expo 2011 Xi'an and the World Walking Association will jointly hold the Expo 2011 Xi'an Low-Carbon Commuting & the 7th World Walking Assembly (Expo 2011 Xi'an assembly area). More than 1,000 tourists will take part in the event; they will enjoy the green "Expo Park" by foot; and the winner will be awarded a prize.

Moreover, between 10:00~11:00 from Oct 1 to 7, at the square before Guangyun Entrance, 16 performers in their Taiji clothes will do calligraphy works on the ground to celebrate the 62nd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Fireworks

The Expo Park will hold a firework festival to celebrate the National Day; fireworks will be lit along Baliu West Road and Ba River Island in Expo Park.

Time: October 1, 3, 6-8, 12-20, at 21:00 every night, lasts for about 8 minutes.

Discounted tickets and promotions

During the National Day holidays, besides colorful performances, visitors can also enjoy various discounted tickets to the Carnival, water amusing park, Fitness Park, Bird’s World and Mengniu Green Park.

Holders of the Expo entrance tickets can enjoy three entertainment projects in the Carnival free of charge. Visitors challenging the "Scream Project" will win the challenge prize if they feel good physically. In addition, all projects on water will provide a 20 percent discount; and it will also hold water bicycle competitions three times a day, and competitors who hit the line first will win prizes.

During the National Day holidays, children under 15 can enter the Fitness Park free of charge. Kids can also play with the birds in Bird's World and watch performances. What is more, Mengniu Green Park will hand out milk to the first 300 visitors.
