According to the official data of the expo, since the grand opening on April 28, domestic and overseas tourists have showed great enthusiasm towards the Xi'an International Horticultural Exposition. The single-day admission peak once reached 180,000 people.

On Aug 21, the 116th day since its opening, the total admission number exceeded 9 million, a record high. Lately, daily traffic reaches approximately 10,000 people; weekends are busier. It is expected that by August 31 the number of admissions will have reached 10 million people.

Upon greeting its 10 millionth visitor on August 31, the expo held a series of celebration activities. Once the lucky visitor is confirmed, they will wear garlands on the site and a 2-minute celebration performance will be presented. The lucky one will then be invited to Guangyun Gate to receive a certificate, prize and leave a handprint at the welcome ceremony. Dielianhua, Qinyuanchun, Shuilongyin, Huanxisha and other stages will also carry out celebration performances and parades to welcome the 10 millionth visitor to the expo.

On August 31, electronic screens in all parks of the expo will play electronic fireworks.

Other visitors will not leave empty-handed. According to the principle of "first come first served", at the entrances of the Guangyun Gate, the Jinxiu Gate and the Debao Gate, a total of 1,000 small gifts will be distributed to visitors to celebrate the expo’s achievements.

In addition, at the square inside of the Gangyun Gate, the expo "Photo Show of National Promotion Tours" will be held. Visitors are to be briefed with the various activities taking place in the national promotion tours and road shows.
