The Horticultural Expo in Xi'an of Northwest China's Shaanxi Province has attracted swarms of visitors everyday since it opened.

Now they are being serenaded by the sultry sound of a saxophone as Hong Kong Week kicked off earlier of the week.

The performances during Hong Kong Week highlight the characteristics of the International metropolis and are well-suited to the Expo theme of "Going green, low carbon dioxide emissions, and high tech."

The work of changing the flowers at the Expo garden is nearly finished. Summer flowers such as morning glory and lavender are bursting with color across the landscaped grounds.

The Horticultural Expo runs through October the 22nd.
