The Horticultural Expo in Xi'an of Northwest China's Shaanxi Province has attracted swarms of visitors everyday since it opened in late April. One of the highlights in the Horticultural Park is its display of festooned vessels streaming on water, with various performances adding luster to the event.

Each of the six festooned boats is elaborately decorated to echo the theme of the eco-friendly expo, which stresses the concept of "Going green, low carbon dioxide emissions, and high tech."

This vessel is embellished with music notes and notations. Fountains positioned around the boat spout water into the lake, over the varied beats of the music accompaniment.

"This is my first time to ever watch a festooned vessel patrolling on water. It has such a distinguished shape! Awesome!"

"I like the one in the back. The green color one with pandas, antelopes and also flowers and greenery. It looks like a flowing forest."

The World Horticultural Expo is a grand display of the latest plants and planting technologies. Since its inauguration in 1851, the Expo has descended on more than twenty countries around the world.

The Horticultural Expo runs through October the 22nd.
