At 3:01pm on May 11, 2011, upon entering the gate, Zhang Yongbao became the millionth visitor to the ongoing Horticultural Expo in Xi’an. China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited, the global partner of the expo’s air transport service, has offered him three free flight tickets from Xi’an to anywhere else across China and a color-decorated airplane model as well.

The executive committee of the Xi’an Horticultural Expo and China Eastern Airlines co-held a brief but fabulous celebration at the main entrance of the Expo. Zhang, with his family, is from Huangling, Shaanxi province and in his forties. He and his wife, Ren Feiying, are both miners. They have planned for a long time to take their daughter to the Xi’an Expo. Unexpectedly, they were lucky enough to win a big surprise that they didn’t expect. “I am very grateful to China Eastern Airlines. Their gifts make my trip more memorable and significant!” giggled Zhang. He was surprised.

Rui Ying, the deputy secretary of Party Committee of China Eastern Airlines Northwest branch, expressed his best wishes to the Zhang family, and sent his warm congratulations to the Expo on behalf of China Eastern Airlines. He was honored to co-hold this commemorative activity with the executive committee, he said, and be a global partner in the Xi’an Horticulture Expo. It is the mission and duty of China Eastern Airlines to guarantee air transport service, he added. He also said they would spare no efforts to provide comfortable and quality service for the tourists taking their flights.
