The China Development Forum 2016 (CDF2016) - approved by the State Council and sponsored by the Development Research Center of the State Council - was held from March 19 to 21 at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. The forum, with the theme "China in the new Five-Year Plan Era", focused on crucial issues such as reform and development in the 13th Five-Year Plan.

Premier Li Keqiang attended the forum. He met with representatives from overseas and exchanged views with them on reform and development of the Chinese economy in the 13th Five-Year Plan. Vice-Premier Zhang Gaoli addressed the opening ceremony. DRC President Li Wei was the president of the forum, and delivered a keynote speech on “enhancing cooperation, sharing new development opportunities of the 13th Five-Year Plan”.
