The Research Institute of Resources and Environment Policies of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) won the third prize of the 2014 Energy Soft Science Research Achievement Award, in December 2015, for its research on Approaches and Measures to Greatly Increase the Proportional Consumption of Natural Gas during the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-2020).

The award was given by China's National Energy Administration.
