Shinichi worked at the IMF – Singapore Regional Training Institute from 2011 to 2015. He was a professor of public policy at Tokyo University from 2008. He experienced senior posts at the Japanese MoF, the OECD, and the IMF. He published a book on The Analysis of the World Economy from the Perspective of Currencies: Dollar, Euro, RMB, and Yen and another book titled The Economics of G20. Shinichi has a M. Phil. degree in Economics from Oxford University and a B.A. from Tokyo University.
