Franco-Chinese Workshop: Crossed Views on the Quality of Growth, co-sponsored by DRC and France Stratégie (CGSP), was held in Beijing on November 24, 2014. President Li Wei and Director Pisani-Ferry participated in the workshop and delivered keynote speeches respectively on "Promoting Franco-Chinese Economic Growth Quality" and "Rebalance of French Economic Growth in the World Economy".

Zhang Laiming, Vice President of the DRC, chaired the first session. Cheng Guoqiang, Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation, Yu Bin, Director-General of Department of Macro-economy, Mr. Hou Yongzhi, Director-General of Department of Development Strategy and Regional Economy, made speeches or chaired the workshop.

Chinese and French participants conducted deep discussions on issues of Franco-Chinese economic growth strategy and quality, sustainable development of finance, economy and society, and sustainable development of the global environment. Chief researchers from DRC were involved in the discussions with their French counterparts, including Zhao Jinping, Director-General of Department of Foreign Economic Relations, Gao Shiji, Director of Institute for Resources and Environment Policies, Lan Weiban, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation, Zhang Yongsheng and Liu Peilin, Deputy Directors-General of Department of Development Strategy and Regional Economy, Shi Yaodong, Deputy Director-General of Department of Industrial Economy.
